It is another on-location show this week on KENTUCKIANA MOTORSPORTS Presented by Jim Beam®. KMS Racing Expert Scott Douglass visits OxMoor Collision Center. “The guys here do a great job working on cars, they love racing, and support local racing” said Douglass. Two Bluegrass Speedway Champions, Roger Cecil and Robbie Settles join Douglass this week on the half-hour locally produced racing show.

“We want to win. We’re not giving up” said NASCAR Sprint Cup driver, Jeff Gordon. It has been nearly 15 years since he was not one at least one race during the season. Gordon sounds off , and so does NASCAR driver Carl Edwards whi has narrowed the gap with Jimmie Johnson. There are two more races left. This weekend in Phoenix and the final race of the 2008 season at Homestead next weeknd.

Also this week, Kevin Harvick gets back in the #2 ACL NASCAR Craftsman Truck in Phoenix. And both Douglass and KMS Show Host, Craig Hoffman answer fan email.

“I am excited’ said NASCAR driver Ryan Newman after winning his first ever NASCAR Craftsman Truck Race, in his first ever truck start at Atlanta this past weekend. He was driving the American Commercial Lines #2 Chevy. Viewers will have a chance to witness the action packed finish and hear from the ACL driver.

And this week, Kentuckiana Racer Will Kimmel talks about the 2009 racing season. A big announcement about his future. Douglass talks with the young driver about it.

“It is going to be a weekend to remember" said KENTUCKIANA MOTORSPORTS Racing Expert, Scott Douglass. There are big events this weekend in town. "The Halloween 200 at the High Banks of Salem brings a massive field of drivers and fans from throughout the region. It is the last major local race of the year" added Douglass. "We expect a good show" said Richard Deaton. He is General Manager of the Salem Speedway (About 30 minutes from downtown Louisville off Interstate 65). Deaton helps preview the race and looks at the 2008 season at Salem.

"I am ready to see all the fans" proclaimed Monster Jam driver John Seasock, aka Batman in the popular series. Seasock visits the set of Kentuckina Motorsports this week. "This is probably the best show for Monster Jam ever in Louisville" said Douglass. Tickets are still available for the shows Friday and Saturday night at Freedom Hall in Louisville.

The longtime racing announcer and expert comments this week on the decision by Kevin Harvick to remove Jack Sprague from the American Commercial Lines #2 NASCAR Craftsman Truck for a lack or performance. Also this week on KENTUCKIANA MOTORSPORTS Presented by Jim Beam®, a look at the big race this weekend at Charlotte in the NASCAR Sprint Cup series. A number of drivers talk about the event. And NASCAR Driver Tony Stewart looks back at the wild finish at Talladega.
Local tracks continue to have action this weekend. A big race coming up is on Sunday, October 26 at Salem Speedway (About 30 minutes form Louisville off Interstate 65). “It is always an exciting race, the Halloween 200” said Richard Deaton, General Manager of the Salem Speedway.

Championships will be decided this weekend at two Louisville area tracks. “One remaining champions remains at Bluegrass Speedway and there are some open divisions at the Sportsdrome” said KENTUCKIANA MOTORSPORTS Racing Expert Scott Douglass. “Drivers have worked all season for this weekend. And even though in some classes championship have already been won, everyone wants to take home a victory in the season ending race” he added. Also this week, rising street stock driver Beau Crawford visits the set of KENTUCKIANA MOTORSPORTS. The young driver is 5th in points at Salem Speedway and leading candidate for rookie of the year in street stocks. Salem hold its championship night next weekend, Saturday October 4.

It is a huge week in Kentucky for fans. Thousands of people are in Kentucky for the 37th Annual Ryder Cup as well at the Bourbon Festival in Bardstown. “We’re excited to welcome everyone to the area. We looking forward to giving them a little Jim Beam hospitality” said Fred Noe, the Ambassador of Jim Beam/Beam Global. This week on KENTUCKIANA MOTORSPORTS Presented by Jim Beam®, Noe visits the studio to talk about the Jim Beam Race Teams, Bourbon Festival, Ryder Cup, and the new Jim Beam Experience. “We’re expanding our distillery in Clermont (About 30 miles south of Louisville just off Interstate 65) to allow the public to learn more about the Bourbon Trail and the rich bourbon tradition in Kentucky” added Noe.

Also this week on the fast moving half-hour racing show Greg Biffle looks back at his New Hampshire win as the NASCAR Sprint Cup series gets ready for Dover. Nine-Time ARCA Champion Frank Kimmel from Clarksville, Indiana is getting closer to becoming the all-time ARCA winner with a victory at his home track at Salem. “It took patience” said Kimmel following his win. KENTUCKIANA MOTORSPORTS looks back at the victory and at action at the local tracks this weekend.

“We will help families affected by the storms. I know many areas especially further south are hurting and need counseling” said Pastor Ron Lasley with Raceway Ministries. The minister and long time racer talks about the aftermath of Hurricane Ike and how the public can help families in need.

He is the special studio guest this week. Saturday night the southern Indiana racing star battles a strong ARCA Field at the Salem Speedway. A standing room only crowd is expected for the event about 30-minutes from downtown Louisville off Interstate 65. Also this week on

It will be standing room only when the NASCAR Nationwide Series hits Kentucky Speedway next week. “We are urging fans to get those tickets. It will be a huge night of racing” said Tim Bray with the Kentucky Speedway. The stars of the Nationwide Series including Kyle Busch and Carl Edwards invade the track one-hour north of Louisville next week. This week on KENTUCKIANA MOTORSPORTS Presented by Jim Beam®, a look ahead to the event. Also fans will get a review of the NASCAR Sprint Cup race at Pocono this weekend, by show Racing Expert, Scott Douglass.

“We’re ready for the late model race. We’ve been working to get the car ready” said Keith Gardner with Owen Racing. The veteran late model champion, who is a studio guest on KENTUCKIANA MOTORSPORTS, looks at the CRA Late Model event at the High Banks of Salem (Salem Speedway) Saturday.

“It’s going to be bigger and better this year” said Shayne Ingersoll with American Commercials Lines. Ingersoll helps unveil details of the Second Annual ACL Fanfest to be held, Thursday July 17th in Jeffersonville at the corporate headquarters for American Commercial Lines. Big name NASCAR drivers, ARCA Stars. And local racers will all be part of the ACL Fanfest which will include music, entertainment, prize giveaways, and more!
